Ana Olavarietta, Class of 2020

"I was part of the Detainee Hotline team....I took calls on that hotline,...provided legal documents and supporting evidence for asylum petitions, [and] filed complaints on detention center conditions....Being in DC during such an important time for immigration policy and politics highlighted the urgency and importance of our work. It was incredibly inspiring."

City Blossoms

"My internship in DC increased my interest in social justice and community building. I helped raise money for my organization...[and] aided in product development. After working at City Blossoms, I have a renewed conviction in the agency of community building projects, and I hope to create my own initiative one day as I pursue a career in the nonprofit sector."
